Recordist's notes
Woke to an unbearably hot house and a great feeling that the air needed to let go and release. Waited for the storm and, when it came, sat in the spare bedroom with my journal and wrote down my thoughts while listening to the thunder and the rain through the open window; what joyous breaths of freshness it brought in. Recorded just resting my trusty old EDIROL R09 on the windowsill, pointing into the weather with its knackered little wind cosy protecting the microphones.
