Recordist's notes
This is one of two recordings of streams and tiny waterfalls that emerged from the steep hillside of the mountain at the end of the Hollersbachtal valley. These streams are the remnants of rain and snow-melt. Where the land flattens and dips, the water is absorbed in the marsh. The streams are very tiny compared to those in the valley. The landscape here is more barren, with soft green grass and lichen-covered rocks (as opposed to the wildflowers, mosses, mushrooms, and many other large and small plants inhibiting the forest floor down by the river). There is more wind here on the steep mountain side. Often the breeze blows the water off-course. (Recorded with a Zoom H5.)
