Recordist's notes

The Black Poet aka Mbizo Chiracha recites his work for my mic in the small accountant’s office at the Book Café Harare, where he often presents his songs during Sistaz Open Mic and other public events. In the middle of the piece the poet asks: “Where are you African names? In which clouds are you buried…?” Mbizo Chiracha is a performance poet, writer and founder and director of Girl Child Creativity Project http://www.girlchildcreativity.blogspot.de More recordings with the Black Poet: http://archive.org/details/Voices_from_Harare_1141 From: http://both-sides-of-the-zambezi.tumblr.com/
