Recordist's notes

A real-time experience of a storm front that crossed England from the south, the right side of the sound image. The recorder was inside my garage with the metal door open in the horizontal position catching the rain drops. I can be heard in the first moments frantically sweeping out the flood water flowing down the drive from the road above. This is unashamedly a long recording providing the true experience of a long event. The recorder and microphones were on a chair up under the door to avoid the gusty rain and protected inside a rucksack. The mics were in my home made faux fur wind shield. I used a MixPre 6 II with 2 sennheiser MKH 8020s. 32bit x 48k. Originally a WAV format the sound file was converted to 320bit mp3.
