Recordist's notes

The beautiful train line between Benevento and Avellino in the rural area of Irpina is threatened to be shut down in October 2012. Also the line between Avellino and Rocchetta is facing its end. The closing of the rail lines is a part of a larger shut down of local public transport in the whole region of Campania. These field recordings are from travels on the train between Benevento-Avellino and are composed as an homage to the Benevento-Avellino -and Avellino-Rocchetta line. For more information: http://avellinorocchetta.wordpress.com/ Recorded with contact mic, shotgun and lavalier mics.
