Recordist's notes

A quiet Monday morning as I walk down the main street, suddenly garbage men tip a large container, general traffic, voices of the few people in town, I hear a busker and head towards him, he stops singing as I reach him. I walk back past him again and eventually through the large open door into the foyer of the theatre. There are two mothers with children playing happily. I have reconfigured my rucksack recording gear and it picks up much less movement noise. 32bit x 48khz. MixPre 6 II with 2 Sennheiser MKH 8020s in a 180 degree configuration covered by my home made faux fur wind shield. I find with this set up I can work completely without drawing attention capturing authentic sounds.
