Recordist's notes
fine weather coming in from the West. Stiff breeze and a great sunset. Down on the beach a very exciting art installation was taking place as the breeze shaped and reshaped the sand into extraordinary designs. I put 2 contact microphones with the plates facing the oncoming sand and here for your delight a delectation is the soundtrack to the West Wind installation. We're here courtesy of the Wildlife Sound Recording Society and their knowledge, enthusiasm and willingness to share skills and techniques with a sound faffer has been great.
Context
This recording was made away from larger towns, about 73 km from the nearest city in our gazetteer.
