Recordist's notes

Zoom field recording taken at the Kamuli swamp stream in Mityana district located in Central Uganda. Kamuli swamp stream is a slow flowing seasonal swamp stream tributary of the Katonga or Mayanja system draining into lake Wamala with a flat swampy valley that floods seasonally. This audio captures and highlights the flow profile and intermediate surrounding ecosystem of the stream. It was recorded on 5th December 2026 at 2:00pm EAT. Field recordist: Diana Kisakye. Monitoring, Editing, and Mastering Samuel Kudjodzi, CSEM and WISEA founder, Germany. Miss Diana Kisakye is a high school final year student in Central Uganda, Mityana district. She is very passionate about sound and has been on the assistant production team of the film project "The night I left America" - 2025. She has toured the USA with the Bridge of Hope Africa Ministries children's choir. She is looking forward to majoring in Soundscape Ecology, Computer Science and Photography at a foreign University. Follow her for her Soundscape Ecology and Multimedia journey at CSEM and WISEA. Uganda is the newest country where CSEM, together with its supporters and partners is growing the WISEA - Women In Soundscape Ecology Africa initiative. She will be mentored, fully equiped, and lead the WISEA Uganda branch. She will train and develop leaders and multipliers in soundscape ecology in Uganda. We are happy to be listening to the rich natural sonic heritage of Uganda. Watch out for dates for her listening sessions, workshops, and seminars across Uganda, Africa, USA, and Europe. We are happy to mention Paula Fairfield @paulafairfield for supporting the WISEA project, for recommending Diana to us, and commitment to supporting budding talents. THANK YOU.
