Recordist's notes

A sound walk with a group through small tunnels and caverns in a 4000 year old ochre and iron ore mine. The spaces are quite small and sometimes crowded. A child plays with a metal drum and spring, background sounds are sound effects, frequent contact with the rock faces, conversations and comments in close proximity to the mics and the general underground ambient which is strangely without echo due to the porous rocks.
