Recordist's notes
This recording was made along a stretch of rocky shoreline at the west end of Kingston, Ontario, not far from Norman Rogers Airport. It was a sunny and cool autumn day with a gentle breeze. I used an H2 Zoom recorder, on a 4H channel, with the device placed at the water's edge near a pool of water that eddied around the stones. There are sounds of the water, wind, an airplane lifting off and the occasional car on the road above. This is a quiet, fairly secluded, place and the view across Lake Ontario, as well as the sunlight reflecting through the water, always brings me a sense of peace and belonging.
