Recordist's notes

This recording was made later on, when we were trying to get out of the market complex; I simply held my recorder at my side and attempted to capture some of the madness of all the tiny whizzing carts coming past us at speed from all directions; they are little stand-up carts that are motorised, with space on the back for lots of boxes, and they go at speed and are very nifty. The traffic rules of the fish market are somewhat freestyle so as novices we mostly just tried to keep our wits about us, find a way through, and not get gunned down by the amazing little fish market vehicles.
