Recordist's notes

The recordings were made inside the container of Luc Deleu “a permanent collection of the outdoor contemporary sculpture museum Middelheim” with three friends. Banging, rubbing foam on the walls, throwing different stuff. The outdoor background rumble of the motorway in the proximity of the park was filter out with synthesizer like effect into the mix.I’ve used a zoom H2n as my laptop with QUAD-CAPTURE USB Audio Interface. 2 Single cardioïde microphones in a XY setting. Separate recording of the object used in the room where made as a Impulse response convolution recording of the reverberation of the container. Ending the day with an amazing percussion Jam. The weather condition whas sunny. I like the Middelheim museum for Its lanes around the park. You get an idea of the residential building in the suburbs after the First World War. English cottages stand alongside modernist houses, a 'petit palais' next to a contemporary villa. Very different styles, but always in gardens that look like parks.
