The Bridgertons / Felix and Mark's hens

Today we were mending our chicken pen. We put the hens in a temporary holding area for the duration of today's repair work as they were otherwise likely to sabotage everything we tried to do by digging underfoot etc. They were very vocal about being confined to the holding area and also seemed displeased at new building works not approved by them. I decided to record the amazing sounds they were making, since they seem to have a lot to say on this matter. I am not sure what the huge noise around 19 minutes in is, though I suspect it is the sound of one of the chickens trying to fly up on top of their feeder in order to investigate the EDIROL Recorder laying on the mesh on top. Another thorn in their side, inflicted on them by the human overlords! They are quite young chickens, we got them just last spring, so not a year old yet. in this recording you hear the voices of Lady Danbury, Portia Featherington, Violet Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte. We hope they are going to enjoy their new palace and that you enjoy their amazing song. Recorded simply by laying the EDIROL R-09 on top of the holding pen and hoping they wouldn't find a way to destroy it.
