Recordist's notes
The Oker in Braunschweig transforms in warm weather. People hire paddle boats, canoes or rowing boats for a hour or two on the slow flowing river; friends relax or picnic in the shady riverside parks. The space is shared with families of geese and who gets which patch of water or grass makes for an interesting negotiation.
