Recordist's notes

I was on a quiet street in Galway and heard a busker playing the fiddle around the bend. As I turned the corner to catch a glimpse of the musician I saw a street filled with utter madness. The busker only played the chorus of tunes as people walked by and then completely stopped when they had passed beyond the point of tossing in a few coins. The he started right back in on the same chorus as the next person approached. As I continued down there were groups of lads singing arm in arm, lost tourists, wobbly heeled ladies and at the top of the road, a group of frenized improv drummers beating on rubbish bins. This is recorded while walking about a block with a Zoom H4 held inside a canvas bag to block the wind.
