Recordist's notes
This beautiful old building is a former ice factory, part of the brewing industry that once dominated the Braník area of Prague. Small automobile companies have taken over some of the space, but mostly it is empty and abandonned. The brick work, although crumbling is still lovely and some of the sign and names can still be seen. The building itself makes no sound. The windows accesible from the ground have been bricked-up and are covered with welded metal grills, which can be quite tuneful when hit with ones hands. This track is short playing session recorded with contact mics, so nome of the background sound - constant heavy traffic - is audible.
