Recordist's notes

The two very big bells of the Sens cathedral. 0:46 mn : the first stroke. The first bell, The Savinienne. 2:33 : the second bell, the Potentienne. Recorded into the tower by -17°C ! It was extremely loud (135 dB, but it was said to us). Doves were flattened on the ground ! The first time they rang after 35 years of silence, an old person was crying, thinking the pope was dead. These two bells are the few ones on the top of bells. Optimally to listen very loud, as it was inside. Record made with Nicolas Duseigne on the christmas mass.
