Recordist's notes
A comparatively quit morning in the container harbour. Large container-harbour crane and associated machinery moving on the opposite side of the harbour basin. Containers being hauled on ships.The crane moving up and down along the quay. To the right motor vehicles passing over a bridge. Calls of Common Black-headed Gulls (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) can be heard calling as they fly around in the harbour. At 4 min in the recording the call of a Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea) and at 4 min 05 sec, the flight call of a migrating Tree Pipit (Anthus trivialis). Recorded with a Sound Devices 702 field recorder and a modified Crown - SASS setup incorporating two Sennheiser mkh 20
