Recordist's notes
On holidays in Mykonos, we were staying near the busy working port. All day long, the most glorious procession of boat horns signalling ferries arriving and leaving, leaving and arriving. I tried many times to record the glorious resonances of the horns, ringing around the curve of the land, against the bright white buildings, but to no avail. Here are two I did manage to get, by leaving the EDIROL R09 and its wind cover out on the noisy balcony. The hiss of the air conditioning and white noise hum of a busy port dominates the recording, but there are two measly toots from the many we heard.
