Recordist's notes
Pair of contact microphones picking up the thuds, squeaks and call and response shouts of those undertaking their karate gradings at Bradfield College. This section was recorded during the set-piece 'katas' following the instruction of the teacher or 'Sensei'. Recorded using a Tascam DR-680 MKII and JRF Audio contact microphones.
