Recordist's notes
We enter the temple through a small room where visitors are asked to please leave their shoes and all leather ware since it means insult to the goddess. Visitors may also wash their hands here. Inside the temple believers walk from shrine to shrine and in prayers many times around one shrine. Some families sit one the ground waiting patiently with their offerings of fruits and flowers for a priest to attend to them. The temple observes a lunch break; so we leave the temple with all other visitors and the doors are locked behind us. It is the only temple of the goddess Kamakshi outside India or South Asia.” https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sri-Kamadchi-Ampal-Tempel
