Recordist's notes
At a grove near the Wanderparkplatz. The sound of the local natural ambience mixed with a short part of the 12 hour sound installation entitled „From the Mara to Monheim“, realised by Chris Watson 2023 at the sound art exhibition "The Sound" within the frame of the Monheim Triennale II. The project of the English musician and sound artist Chris Watson plays with the idea of meteorological temperature inversion (also: reversal weather situation), which carries sounds of an equatorial soundscape from a river woodland in the Masai Mara, a nature reserve in Kenya, into a small inner-city grove near the old town of Monheim am Rhein. soundmap Monheim - social ambiences and sound art works more information at: www.monheim-triennale.de
