Recordist's notes

Field Recording tips being given in a Sound Environment at night where a bat's movement and vocalisation in space was the main focus. Gear: Earsight Omnidirectional Microphones, ZOOM F3 Field Recorder, Manfrotto 1052BAC Tripod, Hama Tripod, K&M Large Stereo Bar, SONY MDR 7506 Reference Headphone, Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 32 Ohms, AKG K-701 Open-back Reference Headphone, 30M XLR cables. This individual mentoring session was given to Emmanuel @emmanuel_csemghana @emma_csemghana during my 11-Day stay in Ghana. We pushed through the training eventhough I wasn't in the best state of health before and during the stay. Topics discussed on this previously observed site included: ☑️ Stereofield monitoring (movement of objects in space). ☑️ Focused and peripheral listening. ☑️ How omni-directional microphones work. ☑️ Balanced placement of microphones. ☑️ Handling of field recorders and batteries. ☑️ Listening with amplification. ☑️ Closed-back and open-back reference headphones and how they work. This program is supported by Earth fm with equipment set.
