Recordist's notes
Recorded by normal mics and a contact mic placed on the creaking pine tree to hear the internal vibrations. There is also a lovely deep bass from wind blowing through the upper branches and leaves even when it is not creaking. The contact mics are simple self made piezos, but using TritonAudio BigAmp Piezo pre-amplifiers, which are very effective. They reveal bass frequencies that previously I had no idea were there.
