Recordist's notes

… we are at the community hall of a Lutheran church, the “Christuskirche”, in Hamm West… a large very colourful audience is gathered here… many in African attire… inside the hall, the opening of the Afrika Festival is reaching its peak… Yemi Ojo on the drum performs a traditional Yoruba blessing for this day… two women pick up and join in with “native” and Christian African songs, Yvonne Chipo Makopa and Godsglory Jibrill-ellems… it’s the Yes Afrika Festival 2014… http://yes-afrika.jimdo.com/
