Recordist's notes
A warm Sunday afternoon in Priory Park, Great Malvern with a brass band, children playing, dogs barking and snatches of conversation. A typically English event. I recorded the whole first half of the concert which is presented here so you can experience it in your own way in real time. The mics are positioned in front of a high wall about 300mm above the ground to catch any reflected sound and surrounded by the audience about 40 meters away from the bandstand. I deliberately chose this position so as not to prioritise the band too much and capture "The Event" as a whole. MixPre 6 II with 2 Sennheiser MKH 8020s in my home made 180 degree configuration and wind screen. 32bit x 48khz converted to Mp3 stereo. High Pass filter at 80hz
