Recordist's notes
We are sitting with Abbigal Muleya outside Basilwizi Trust’s Office in Binga, some voices from people working inside, and a herd of cows passing… the midday breeze is a pleasant cooling, unfortunately though it occasionally catches the mic… Abbigal describes for listeners the spirit of unity and the concept of team-working among the BaTonga women she is working with, be it in pursuing traditional women’s craft like basket-weaving, or recently in an all-women fishery project. Abbigal is one of the founder members of ZUBO Trust, an organization aiming to enable women to realize, enhance and maximize their social, economic and political potential as citizens of Zimbabwe. http://www.zubo.org/ The recordings with Abbigal are archived here: http://archive.org/details/Voices_from_Binga_52 From: http://both-sides-of-the-zambezi.tumblr.com/
