Recordist's notes

The recording starts with a walk through a tunnel that connects the platforms. A man whistles to signal that I should move aside for the proper physical distance. He stresses his whistle with a gesture. On platform 9 a train is leaving. Nearly noone boarded. A train to Kiel is announced that I took since November several times at that day. I never made a recording. But the train was always packed. A lot of people were leaving, even more boarding. Today I saw perhaps ten people leaving the train, 15 people boarding, all rather young. The doors of the train are beeping as if this could help to get customers. An anouncement is made that people should take a certain distance to each other. The train to Kiel is leaving with a short delay. The sound of the engine is quite different from older ICEs. A walk through the main hall to a book shop marks the end of this recording.
